Gary was a good friend to me and we caught a lot of fish together. He was a hard working man who lived a frugal life and prided himself on always paying his own way. Gary was one of the most honest and trustworthy people I knew. When he had something to tell you, it was the unvarnished truth. In recent years I met his Mom Corene when I took him to visit her. Gary would often tell me how he tried to visit her more. I know he loved his Mom very much. I regret I can't attend Gary's funeral because I'm out in Rapid City this week on business.
