Obituary

Donald W. Woodley, MD, age 90, formerly of Edina, passed away December 12. He earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota and had a fulfilling career as an internist and as Medical Director for several insurance companies. Most of all, he was the consummate family man - devoted to his wife of 65 years, Phyllis, and his seven children - Pam (Perry Mitchell) Woodley, Nancy Woodley Kehn, Steven (Kathy), Mathew, David, Patty (Curt) Billmeyer, Amy (Mark) Spaniol. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and brother, Jim Higgins. Memorial service Saturday December 28, 2019 11:00 a.m. at the Friendship Village Chapel, 8100 Highwood Drive, Bloomington. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation Friday December 27, 5-7 p.m. in the Celtic Center at St. Patrick’s Church, 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane. Edina. Memorials preferred to Loaves and Fishes of Minnesota www.loavesandfishesmn.org

So sorry to hear of Dr. Woodley's passing. We loved living across the street from the Woodleys during our growing up years(and babysitting years :-).Dr. Woodley had such a kindness about him. My heart goes out to the entire family. Love, Ann Liedl

So sorry to hear about Dr. Woodley. The entire Woodley family was such a source of comfort and joy for my family back on Oaklawn Avenue. So many fond memories. Rest In Peace Doc.
