Age 81 of Bloomington, Minnesota. Born December 10, 1936 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to Fred William and Ona Marcella (Fisk) Van Gerpen. Survived by wife, Jean A. (Neufeld) Van Gerpen; children, Steven, Patricia (Sean) Henretty, and Kristin (Brendan) Kohner; grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Cassie, and Jake, Zachary, and Jackson; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Collier. Funeral service on Monday, October 22, 2018 , 1 PM at Wooddale Church, 6630 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344. Memorials may be directed to donor's choice.

Jean, Patti, Steven, and Kristin- Dan and I just happened to be at Wooddale this past Sunday and heard about Ron's passing. Our hearts grieve your loss but also celebrate with you at Ron's homegoing. I remember Ron fondly from the many visits to your house, and from the Watchmen singing. Our prayers are with you all during this time.
