Obituary for Stephen Richard Alderson
Alderson, Stephen Richard
Age 81, of Minneapolis, died October 14, 1917. Son of Anthony Donald (Don) and Mary Alderson (Root). Steve is survived by his bride, Annette (Truso); sisters, Marianne Leighton (Chuck) and Martha Nicholas (Don); sons, Stephen Jr. (Lourdes) , David (Irene), Robert (Angeles), and Keith; grandchildren, J. Stephen, Alana, Bryant, and Kylie. Steve was a geographer by education and worked as a transportation planner with Barton-Aschman Associates, the Metropolitan Council and MnDOT. An avid reader of books on history, science, and philosophy, he loved diverse music and the Boundry Waters Canoe Area. A private memorial service for the family and a life celebration for friends and family will be held in November. Friends and colleagues please contact the family in the next two weeks for details. Memorials to the Friends of the Boundry Waters wilderness or the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum preferred.
