Marjorie DeLano Doss passed peacefully on September 25, 2017. Marjorie was born in Algona, IA on February 26, 1937 to Edward R DeLano and Inez E. Horstman. She attended elementary school in Fairmont, MN, Mankato High school and attended the U of MN. Married at St. John Episcopal Church in Mankato to Darrell Doss in June 1959.
She should be remembered for her huge circle of friends, wonderful dinner parties and some of the best Monday night football get togethers. Always a good time was had by all. Highlights for Marjorie were cooking for family and friends, baking chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren, Alpha Chi reunions, adopting friends of her beloved niece Nancy, and good times with family at Sunshine Lake. She was the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren; also survived by children, Richard (Ann Merrick) Doss, Robert (Susan) Doss, Elizabeth (Chad) Doss Anderson; sister, Marylin Stewart (Jack) and brother, Richard E. DeLano (Patty).
As part of her career, Marjorie loved to travel especially Tuscany, Italy, and the cities of Pisa and Florence.
Marjorie had a long career with planning and delivering award-based incentive travel programs for Fortune 500 corporations. She was the proud and successful owner of Meeting & Incentive Management, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marjorie was a proud supporter of the Democratic party since volunteering for John F Kennedy’s campaign in 1960.
Celebration of Marjorie’s life will be Saturday October 28, 2017 at Kincaid’s 8400 Normandale Lake Boulevard, Bloomington, MN 55437 from 2-5 p.m.
