Nancy P. Peterson of Edina, MN passed away peacefully with family on March 18th, 2017, at the age of 82.  She was born in Madison, MN, and raised in Mankato, MN.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter R. Peterson, “P.R.”; her father, Kermit Lester Peterson and mother, Gladys K. Olson Peterson.  Survived by five children, Jeffery D., Lynne E, Paul R., John E., and Patricia N. Peterson Frisk, their spouses, nine grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was a graduate of Mankato West High School in 1952, attended St. Olaf College for two years, and then completed her degree at the University of Minnesota in Elementary Education.  She was a member of  Chi Omega sorority.  Nancy was an accomplished musician, playing the organ for the Lutheran church services at the US Navy Base in Pensacola, Florida where Pete was stationed as a Naval Aviator.

Nancy was a devoted and fun-loving wife and mother, enjoying time with her family at every chance.  She loved games: golf, tennis, and Bridge, sharing good times with dear friends that she cherished over the years.  She also loved walking her dog, Lexi, around the neighborhood.

I am so saddened by your loss. I so enjoyed meeting Nancy and all the Peterson clan
at the Nykkelmo Family Reunion in Selbu, Norway, in summer 2009. It was
a wonderful way to meet the whole family!

I will not be able to be at the funeral, as I have another funeral in Northfield
at the same time, but I will be thinking of you.

With fondness and sadness,

Helene MacCallum

Thinking of you all today and sending loving thoughts and prayers. Nancy shared so much love and joy with everyone. I have always appreciated her kindness and admired her dedication to those she loved. She had the most wonderful twinkle in her eye that seemed to light everything up.
She will be so missed.

I remember the wonderful hospitality your mom extended at her home, the cabin and the farm. She always showed so much love for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman and she will be missed dearly. My thoughts are with and her grandchildren.
