Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Margaret Claire Ruhme of Bloomington, age 90, died March 28 from upper respiratory failure. Preceded in death by husband Dick and son, "Baby Joe"; parents Edward and Linnie McNevin, and brother Ken McNevin. Survived by her sister, Justine Kellogg; children Paul (Mary) Ruhme; Marie Ruhme (Mike Stoulil); Renee McGivern; Annette (Bart) Ellson; Suzanne (Ron) Hermes; Dan (Jill) Ruhme. She'll be fondly remembered by grandchildren Ben, Molly, Nick, Michael, Marcus, Charlie, Grant, Liz, Raquel, Bridget, and great-granddaughter Claire. Also nieces and nephews Ed, Eileen, Jim, Linda, Kevin, Mary Claire, and Sean, and friends and admirers too numerous to mention. A celebration of her life is set for April 11 at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, Bloomington. Visitation 9-10 a.m., service at 10, followed by a light lunch. Interment at Fort Snelling at 12:30 p.m.   Claire was delightful, feisty, inquisitive, and devoted to her family, friends, and Catholic faith. She had an extraordinary ability to put people at ease with her humor, a wink, and genuine interest in them. She never gossiped, complained, worried, or doubted the goodness of people. Claire had a wonderful life, and we are profoundly grateful to have shared it with her. Instead of flowers, memorials can be sent to VEAP, 9600 Aldrich Avenue, Bloomington, Minn., 55420
