Donna Lee Decker age 57 of South Minneapolis. Donna was born June 12, 1959 in Minneapolis, MN to Donald and LaVerne McKenzie. Donna was a big hearted, Amazing, humorous woman. Mother and Grandmother to all. She would have given the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Donna was raised in both Minneapolis and the Bay Area in California. She worked at the University of Minnesota with Native American Youth and was one of the first Black Jack Dealers at Little Six/Mystic Lake Casinos.Preceded in death by parents, Donald & LaVern McKenzie: sister, Diane McKenzie; brother, Pete McKenzie Survived by daughter, Keri Decker and grandchildren, Benashi Bugg, Opichie and Asa Thompson; son, Robin Thompson and grandchildren, Maija Thompson,  Dezmond Jackson, Niinde Thompson; siblings, Steve Smith, Robert & Laurie McKenzie, Richard & Patricia Prescott/McKenzie, Linda, Connie and Marie McKenzie. Departure service, Sunday 11:00 a.m. at the  TIOWAKAN SPIRITUAL CENTER at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community,  Prairie Grass 14625Drive NW, Prior Lake, MN Visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 18, 2017. Visitation beginning Sunday 4:00 p.m. at the Ball Club Community Center, Ball Club, MN. Service Sunday 7:00 p.m. at the Ball Club Community Center and interment Monday February 20, 2017 10:00 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Ball Club, MN

Sorry to hear about an old friend from my childhood .....Donna and her family lived across the street from me in CoonRapids. Donna and I had many good times together playing in our neighborhood .... she will be missed..
