Sister Marie Catherine Lee, OP, 98, died June 1, 2016. Her religious name was Sister Marie Mercedes. She ministered in the St. Paul-Minneapolis Archdiocese 69 of her 70 years of religious life, teaching 23 years at Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, and 10 years at Regina High School, Minneapolis. At Regina, Sister Marie also served as director of Project Regina for 31 years, ministering with the Hmong community. She served as a spiritual director for 11 years in Minneapolis. The funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the  Sinsinawa Dominican Sister’s Mother House, 585 County Road Z, Sinsinawa, WI 53824-9701. Friends may call after 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Motherhouse where a wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Sinsinawa Dominicans.

Marian B. Henningsen, age 94 of Richfield, Edina and Presbyterian Homes of Prior Lake and Bloomington.  Marian was born in Minneapolis on May 31, 1922 to Elmer and Louise Sorensen.  She passed away peacefully, June 3, 2016.  She married Normand Henningsen on October 11, 1947.  Marian worked at the Greyhound Bus Co., Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and Dayton’s Southdale.  Preceded in death by husband, Norm and son, John. She is survived by daughters, Jean (Gary) Olson and Carol (Mark) Showalter; son, Scott (Diane) Henningsen; grandchildren, Aimee (Brian), Michael, Gretchen, Anna, Elora and Jared; great-grandsons, Benjamin and Alexander.  Marian’s Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 9th at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church, 5760 Portland Ave S, Mpls.Visitation 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, June 8th at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S., Mpls. and one hour prior to service at church.  Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Presbyterian Homes or Diamond Lake Lutheran Church.

John Albert Clark

THE VILLAGES, Fl -- John Albert Clark, 82, passed away peacefully at home in the Villages on June 2, 2016. John was born November 20, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN to Melville and Margaret (Burke) Clark who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doreen (Michaels) Clark; children, Cathy Clark, Margie Mumbleau (Dean), and  Mike (Amy) Clark ; grandchildren Ashley (Tony) Hansen, Jason Youngdahl, Michael Clark Jr, Adam and Kyle Matuszak; two great-grandchildren, Axel and Gabriella Youngdahl, one expected in October; and a sister Mary (David) Frazier; nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
John graduated from Washburn High School in 1951 and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout as a young man. He graduated from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and again in 1982 earning a Bachelor of Science in Business.  
John was a registered engineer with over 45 years of experience providing mechanical engineering and project management services for numerous national and international engineering firms in Minnesota.  John was a Fellow/Life Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) serving on numerous national committees. He also served as a member of the Minnesota State Code Advisory Committee. John authored many articles and papers related to plumbing, fire protection and heating ventilation air-conditioning system design.  In 2005, John moved to the Villages with his wife, Doreen, where he enjoyed playing golf and was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Church.  They also enjoyed spending time with friends over the past 30 years at their lake home in Hayward, Wisconsin.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Monday, June 13, 2016, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, MN. George W. Frey, Jr.

George William Frey Jr.  Dad passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on Thursday June 9th. He was a dedicated father, stepfather, grandfather and husband.

Born on October 28, 1927 to George and Clara Frey. He attended Holy Name grade school, St. Thomas Academy High School, the University of Minnesota and worked for the Central Supply Company which was started by his Grandfather, PJ Frey. After a successful career working for several different companies, he went on to volunteer at the Courage Center in Golden Valley.

Preceded in death by wife, Nancy; parents, George Sr. and Clara and sister, Marilyn Moore.

Survived by loving wife, Virginia (Mach) Frey; children, Paul (Danette), Tom, Jim (Julie), Anne (Scott) Cairncross, CeCe, Richard, and Mary; Virginia's children, Ginger (Doug) Ward, Suzanne (Ron) Nussle, MaryLou (Todd) Anderson, Bob (Mary) Mach and Kathy (Mike) Johnson; grandchildren, David Frey, Michael Frey, Shelby Cairncross, Dionel Dallgas-Frey, Manuel Dallgas-Frey, Aracely Dallgas-Frey, Marcela Dallgas-Frey, Jose Dallgas Frey, Cody Frey and Benjamin Nussle, Dayton Nussle, Ian Nussle, Paige Anderson, Christopher (Magaly Estrella Rojas) Mach, Chelsea Mach (fiance Mike Anderson), Jessica (Phill) Kim, Zac (Kristin) Johnson and great-grandchildren. Dad was a blessing to us all, with his calm spirit, sense of humor, unconditional love and support. We will miss him dearly, and know we have another angel watching over us.

Dad was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Grace church, attended Mass daily, and was a member of the choir for over 50 years.   Dad loved to take road trips, and it seemed that he knew everyone, or at least one person everywhere he went.   He loved to play golf, and was very playful with us as kids. After Dad met Ginny, a second adventure began.  Our family expanded, Dad and Ginny traveled extensively, enjoyed many holidays with their blended family, and entertained their large group of mutual friends. He walked every Friday with his St. Thomas buddies at The Mall of America, and was Secretary of the Suburban Men's League (GYROs).
The family would like to thank the Allina  hospice team and the caregivers from Comfort Keepers, Candice and Sharka for taking such great care of dad these last few months.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, 5071 Eden Ave. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation Monday 5-7 p.m. and 1 hour prior to Mass at Church only.
