William Junior Kontney was born on August 8th 1976 to Marcia Kontney and William Prescott. In Milwaukee Wisconsin where he grew up.

William was a brilliant child as he grew up into a man, he was exceptionally intelligent, he was a young man with a lot of wisdom. People used to call him ole school. He would respond with “when did I become ole school?”

William was very outspoken and stubborn to a fault some might say.

William touched the lives of many people, he gave of his time and love and always listened to everyone he came across giving them good advice. He inspired a great deal of folk.

William was a loving father, son and husband. He was preceded in death by father, William Prescott.

William leaves behind his mother, Marcia Kontney; wife, Teresa Kontney; daughters, Courtney, Sierra and Shaniya; son, William Junior and a list of step children, Bianca, James, Jamale, Jamillah, Jasmine, Jessica, Jamaine, LaQuonda, Shaquitta, Joshua and Shaparis Brown.

William was a strong minded compassionate loving human being.

He will be truly missed and never forgotten. He will always be in our hearts. Baby got his wings. Rest Easy William.

As I close William told me “ when I die celebrate me, so no time for mourning but celebration.”

Funeral Service 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 23rd at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, with visitation beginning at 2:00.
