Sophie M. Prince, age 94 of Minneapolis. Beloved mama and friend. Born August 5, 1924 in Chisholm, MN to Frank and Mary Fierst; died May 18, 2019. Preceded in death by husband, John P. Prince Sr. and son, John Jr. Survived by children, Kathleen (Rodger), Robert (Jenifer), Carol, Cindy, Bill and Kris (Buck); grandchildren, Jillyse (Matt), Caitlin (Nate), Sam, Hans (Lauren), and Ingrid; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Ian, Reagan, Emma, Maya and Malcolm; relatives and friends. Sophie was a longtime member of The Church of the Annunciation, Doll Club member and volunteer at Mt. Olivet Careview Homes. She was an avid reader and lover of Tootsie Rolls, crossword puzzles and Scrabble. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 22nd at Church of the Annunciation, 509 W. 54th Street, Mpls. with visitation starting at 10:00. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Mpls. In lieu of flowes, memorials preferred to Church of the Annunciation or Fairview Hospice.
