Together they raised six children and built a business, Professional Instruments Company.

Ruth served as treasurer of the charity CCR for 35 years, helping with its efforts to assist children and adults with disabilities by providing adaptive equipment.

She loved nothing more than hosting family gatherings, especially at the cabin. Ruth cherished time with her grandchildren and enjoyed annual visits to the North Shore and the Minnesota State Fair.

A private burial with immediate family was held at Lakewood Cemetery; memorial service at a later date, post-pandemic. Memorials preferred to The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or HealthPartners Hospice Hope Fund.
