Obituary for Robin Jeffrey "Rob" Sigfridson

Robin Jeffrey Sigfridson “Rob” of Cokato, MN age 60 passed suddenly on 12/16/2019.

Preceded in death by father, Wayne; brother, Scott. Survived by mother, Jo Gruendemann; sister, Valerie Pierson; daughter, Elizabeth.

Rob went to St James Lutheran Grade School (1-8 Grades) in Howard Lake, MN. He graduated from the Dassel-Cokato High School. Rob was a high achiever both academically and athletically in High School. Rob was starting pitcher, quarterback and forward most of this high school years. Rob graduated from the University of MN with a Business Degree.

Rob continued to play amateur baseball throughout his adult life with the Minnetonka Millers and D-C Saints (Dassel-Cokato, MN). He helped coach youth baseball on and off during his adult life.
Rob was avid hunter for ducks, geese and deer. Rob enjoyed the company of his hunting buddies from Cokato and Dassel over the many hunting seasons.

Rob’s professional career was exclusive in the Men’s Clothing business for close to (40) years. The majority of the time Rob worked for The Foursome (owned by the Engel family) in Wayzata/Plymouth in sales, warehouse management and operations.

Rob was member of Golden Valley Lutheran Church, Golden Valley MN. He had a passion for ministering to the high school youth at the church as a bible study teacher and mentor. He had just been elected as Youth Deacon.

Rob had many friends through work and his sports involvements who will greatly miss his gifted ability for storytelling, jokes, sharing his faith and just general camaraderie.
Rob was considered an extended family member of both the Barth and Engel families. His lost is deeply felt as losing a dear brother or uncle.

Funeral Service Sunday 2:30 p.m. at Golden Valley Lutheran Church, 5501 Glenwood Ave., Golden Valley. Visitation Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m.

Memorials preferred to Memorials are requested to the GVLC Youth, to support the summer Alaska Mission Trip and other ministries. Checks should be made payable to “GVLC Youth”.

Rob is in Home in Heaven for Christmas.
