Robert Grover Bump Sr. passed away on April 24, 2019. Robert was born in Albert Lea to his parents, Grover and Jeanette Bump. Robert leaves behind two sons, Randall and Robert Jr. Robert was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the war in Vietnam. He was also a skilled laborer, working as a painter at Ford Motor Company for many years. He had a love for all things trains. He belonged to a live steam railroad club in Hudson, WI since 1984, and has a huge O gauge railroad in the basement. Robert was a tough man with a gentle heart. The kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He had two sons but acted as a father to a countless number of Randall and Roberts friends. There are no words to describe the pain felt or void left from his passing. Funeral Service 11:00 am on Monday, May 6th at Portland Ave United Methodist Church, 8000 Portland Avenue South Bloomington, MN 55420. Visitation one hour prior to funeral.
