It is with sadness that we share that on 10.16.19, Rita Thibault (Bachmann) was called home to our Lord after a sudden illness. Born 11.28.1934 in Kaiserslautern, Germany, to August and Elisabeth Bachmann, Rita was the eldest of five siblings.
In 1959, Rita began a new life in the United States where she was blessed with five children. She remained an active and devout Catholic, a member of Our Lady of Peace parish for over 50 years. Her faith and relationship to her church were the guiding light in her life.
Rita is survived by her siblings: Manfred Bachmann, Helga Americo. Her children: Michael (Dee), Monica Leitner (David), Renate, Stephan (Jenny), and Andre (Paula). Her grandchildren: Dusty, Damien, Dylan, Ashley (Jarid), Forest, Willow, Bodhi, Jacob, Cecilia, Kate, and Luc. And her six great-grandchildren.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Franz Bachmann and Renate Budian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019, at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church, 5426 12th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55417
