Raymond LeRoy Ahrndt
Age 96 of Richfield, MN. Born June 11, 1926 in Benson, MN to Henry and Dorothy (Reimers) Ahrndt. Preceded in death by wife Hazel; daughter Candice; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by children Pamela (Tom) Schroeder, Paulette (Larry) Dushek, Janice (Niles) Anderson, and Gregory Ahrndt; Son-in-law Keith Waldron; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and brother Henry (Sheri) Ahrndt; brother-in-law John Polomny. Ray loved life, gardening, sports, hunting, and the cabin, but mostly he loved his family. He always had kind and encouraging words for everyone he met. The family would like to express a special thank you to all Ray's kind and caring caregivers, staff, and friends at Village Shores Senior Community and Lifespark Health and Hospice Services. Funeral service Thursday, November 17th, 2022 at 2 PM ~ Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 7045 Lyndale Avenue South with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Reception to follow. Private interment ~ Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers our family will gratefully accept memorials for donations to Dad's care facilities and charities.
