Obituary for Phillip Harold Hoiosen
Phill Hoiosen, age 83, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2023. Bowling was one of Phill’s lifelong passions for which he was inducted to the Minneapolis Bowling Hall of Fame for Meritorious Service. He enjoyed fishing and Minnesota sports teams and was a 1958 graduate of Washburn High School.
In 1967, he married Donna Sudbeck and celebrated nearly 56 years of marriage, had two children, Jeannine and Jim and four grandchildren. Phill retired from the City of Minneapolis after 30 years of service. Phill served our country during the Vietnam Crisis in Germany. He fought a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s Disease maintaining his goofy sense of humor with those around him.
Visitation Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 5801 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis, MN. Interment with Military Honors Thursday at 11:00am at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
