Obituary for Patrick James Delaney
Patrick James Delaney was born June 28th, 1971 in Edina MN and died May 20th 2023 in Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his father James Delaney. Pat is survived by his loving mother Jane, wife Angela, daughters Nora and Riley, sister Shannon (Michael) Nittler, nieces Lauren, Bridget and Cathryn, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Patrick was married on September 9, 2001 in Crosslake Minnesota to Angela Baldwin, the love of his life. Pat was an amazing husband, father and friend. He found his greatest joy with his wife and two girls in Northern Minnesota at “the lake”. He spent untold hours teaching them how to tube, ski and fish. Pat loved grilling and being with everyone at the end of a fun day.
Pat was a huge sports fan and followed his favorite teams including the Minnesota Vikings, Wild, Gophers and his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also loved live events like the Kentucky Derby, Masters, and Ryder Cup.
Pat was a graduate of Hopkins High School in MN and attended University of North Dakota and Dunwoody institute. Pat started his career at Boeing and worked the last 17 years for Citigroup as a Senior Vice President. He was an amazing technologist and had a great aptitude for computing and data centers.
His infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor will be missed.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on May 30, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Gill Brothers Funeral Home 5801 Lyndale Ave South Minneapolis, MN. Visitation one hour prior and reception following service. Interment at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake will be held at a later date.
