Obituary for Patricia Marie "Pat" Wildgen

Patricia Marie Wildgen, ”Pat”, age 95, of Bloomington Mn. peacefully entered into eternal life on Monday June 6, 2022 at NC Little Memorial Hospice in Edina Mn.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday June 14th at St. Bonaventure Catholic Community in Bloomington Mn. Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, both at St. Bonaventure. Internment to follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 12:30 PM.

Pat was born May 1,1927 to William J. and Irene M. Smith in Superior WI. She married Leo F. Wildgen on January 17, 1953.

Pat loved gardening. She and husband Leo were members of the Twin Cities’ Rose Club for over 30 years. She loved history. She was an accomplished historical costume designer and historical interpreter for the Minnesota Historical Society and Murphy’s Landing in Shakopee. She was an amateur musician who often played autoharp or dulcimer in historical presentations.

Pat’s lasting legacy was her life long embrace of learning through books, art classes, cookery and travel. She loved to explore with her heart and mind joined by her family, friends, and pets. Her humor and joie de vivre will be missed by all.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband Leo, daughter Irene Wildgen (Harack), son in-law Lynn Rosenthal, her mother and father, brother Bill, and great granddaughter Kylie Wildgen.

She is survived by her sons and daughters; Joseph (Karyn), Thomas (Julie), Frances (Lynn Rosenthal), Nora (Carl White), son in-law David Harack, grand children Eric (Julianne), Neal (Johanna), Taylor, Alex, Katrina (Fred), Michael, Benjamin (Jacenta), William, Chase, Ariel, Lyra, Leo, Quinn, and 13 great grandchildren.
