Obituary for Patricia Mary "Patty" Jeub (Gill)

Patricia Mary Gill Jeub, age 92 formerly of Edina died peacefully October 3, 2019. Extraordinary Mother and Artist. Patricia was the eldest daughter of John J. and May Casey Gill. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Dr. Robert P Jeub and sister, Joanne McGraw. Survived by seven Children, MP (Richard), Robert, Katy (Kenny) Meshbesher, Shelly (Erv) Wachman, Beth, Mike, and Christopher; 8 grandchildren Chris, Katy, and Kenny Loewy. Peter, Tommy, and Ellie Wachman, Michelle and Dina Lenz and Brandon Meshbesher. Also survived by younger sister, Kathleen ‘Sis’ Grogan Bush.

Patty graduated from Christ the King grade school and The Academy of Holy Angels 1944. She excelled in art and drama during high school. She graduated from The College of St Catherine with a BA in 1948. She attended Graduate school at the University of MN in Mass Communication and Art. Patty taught Art and Speech in the parochial school system.

Patty was gifted with artistic abilities which were nurtured in High School at Holy Angels. She was proficient in most art mediums from sculpture to oil painting. Her passion was painting in watercolor. She was a teacher at Edina Art Center, Minnetonka Art Center, Minnetonka Senior Center and Banfill—Locke Center for the Arts. She loved teaching art and the creative process which brought her joy. She is a lifetime member of the Twin City Watercolor Society, and the Northstar Watercolor society. Also member of the Midwest Watercolor Society, Minnesota Watercolor Society and American Watercolor Society. She taught and attended workshops in Bayfield, MN, Scotland, Italy, Greece, and Ireland.

Visitation 5-7, pm and Rosary service at 6:45 p.m. November 14, 2019 at Gill Brothers Funeral Home 5801 Lyndale Ave, So. Minneapolis, MN 55419 and 1 hour before Mass of Christian Burial November 15, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Lake, 105 Forestview Drive, Plymouth MN 55411. Private interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Holy Angels Academy. 6600 Nicollet Avenue Richfield, MN 55423
