Andersen, Norman Garfield

Age 93 of Bloomington, MN passed away on May 23rd 2020. Norman was born to parents Arne and Hazel on September 3, 1926 in Berkeley CA.

He was a loving husband and father. Survived by his wife of 64 years Patricia; children Holly Knight; Lynn Manthie; sister Mary Fisher.

He served in the Army Air Force Reserve in 1944 and called to active duty in 1945. Was sent to Radio and Radar school. Choose to remain in service and assigned to the Antilles Air Command/330th Transport Squadron division. Also trained to pilot C47 aircraft of case of emergency.

Attended Macalester college in St. Paul majored in Economics and Business Administration.
Worked 44 years for Grief Brothers included various management positions, Sales, Marketing, Package development & National accounts.

Norman was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed outside gardening, playing golf, working on DIY projects, traveling, meeting people and playing bridge.

A celebration of life will be held On Wednesday July 22nd 11 AM at Christ the King Lutheran, 8600 Fremont Ave, Bloomington. It will be a drive in parking lot service. Details will be explained at the church. (MASK REQUIRED). Private family interment at Fort Snelling following the church service.
