Obituary for Nancy Jane Haeg (Connell)
Nancy Jane (Connell) Haeg, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023. Mom was born December 12, 1932, in Minneapolis and attended Holy Angels High School in Richfield.
Survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Jim; children, Jerry, Ken (Jan), Dan (Erin), Kathleen and Margaret (Rich); grandchildren, Courtney (Devin), Danny (Perrine), Molly, Lucy, Clare and great granddaughter Kennedy Jane.
Mom loved spending time with her Grandkids, teaching them “Grammie-isms,” and well-taught life lessons with a twinkle in those Irish eyes. We will all remember her quick smile and her wry sense of humor, her love of baking, knitting, camping, volunteering at Bridging and church. She was a beloved Aunt to dozens and a trusted friend to many more.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Minnie; siblings Jim, Janet, Geraldine, and John (Jack) and granddaughter, Lauren. Nancy and Jim were dedicated members of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian burial will be held August 9th, 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of Mary Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55420. Visitation, Tuesday, August 8th 5-7 p.m., Gill Brothers, 9947 Lyndale Ave. S. Bloomington and beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the Church.
