Obituary for Michael James Chiodo

On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, Michael Chiodo, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away at the age of 28. Michael was born January 6, 1992 to Norman and Jennifer (Pelner) Chiodo. He attended school at Annunciation, Academy of Holy Angels, and Concordia University. He worked with his second family at The Blue Door Pub. Michael was a gentle, loving, selfless, and accepting soul. He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and compassionate spirit. Bowling, cooking, personal fitness, and making others laugh were among his passions. Michael was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Martha Chiodo and Kathleen Watkins. He is survived by his parents, Norman and Jennifer; step-parents, Greg and Holly; brother, Joseph; sister, Catherine; step-sisters, Erin and Traci; step-brother, Jake; and many other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 5th at 10 AM ~ Church of the Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55419. Visitation Tuesday, 5-8 pm at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 5801 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55419 and also one hour prior to mass at church. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Autism Society of MN (www.ausm.org) or Autism Speaks (act.autismspeaks.org)
