I met Mary Lewis on my visits to make purchases at Tuesday Morning and we became friends. Mary was a real pro at retail and mentored so many others on the sales force at her store. It was a pleasure to watch her teach- she knew her trade and respected the individual. She was a mentor also to a neighbor from Bosnia who lived on the same floor- advising on interactions between her friend and the city, place of work and so on. Mary was caring, alert, funny, plain spoken, canny and a really good friend. i will miss her rantings on local issues and on daily life here and in Ireland. Her death is a great loss to all her pals. I'm so sorry to hear of Marys sudden passing. She was a smart, sassy, fun and spirited woman who was so much fun to be around. Last summer she and my mom who were dear friends for many years spent some time at my cabin. It was so fun listening to her stories. She had us rolling with laughter at times. I am going to really miss her. Mary is part of my childhood memories on Vincent Avenue. Condolences to Tim, Jane and Patrick. You had a lovely mother who we will all miss.

Mary and I became friends while we worked together at Tuesday Morning. I would look forward to seeing her every time I would visit Minneapolis. We would call each other often to catch up; she would send me recipes that she thought I’d like. She was the grandma that I never had. I’m going to miss her so, so much.
