Margaret A. Rosen

Rosen, Margaret A. age 93, of Edina, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the Mount Olivet Careview Home in Minneapolis, MN.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Claudia Mihalyov. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Arthur W. (Bill) Rosen; son Christopher (Florinda) Rosen of Clifton, VA; daughter Carolyn (Dr. John) Sandgren of Edina; son-in-law Robert Mihalyov of El Paso, TX; grandchildren Linda Rosen, George Rosen, Carrie (Fernando) Carpinteyro, Paul Mihalyov, Grace Mihalyov; great grandchildren Milena, Gael, and Alessia Carpinteyro; sister Irene Doncheff of New Lenox, IL; sister-in-law Dorothy Rossing of Edina; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret Dolores Anderson Rosen was born in 1927 in Chicago, IL to Edwin and Amelia (Petersen) Anderson. She attended Hirsch High School and graduated with the class of 1944. Her higher education was focused on nursing and in 1947 she graduated from the Wesley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago and became a registered nurse. She met her future husband at the University of Minnesota and on March 24, 1951 they were married in Chicago. Their life together involved moving from Illinois to Minnesota, Ohio, New Jersey, New York and finally back to Minnesota in 1987, all the while meeting new friends and enjoying different experiences. She loved cooking and baking as well as entertaining friends and relatives. She was most recently a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. Margaret also enjoyed dancing, traveling, clipping articles from the newspaper for her family members, and spending time with her family and friends. In recent years she enjoyed the quilting group at church and the knitting group at 7500 York Cooperative. The family is grateful for the wonderful care she received at Mount Olivet Careview Home.
To ensure the health and safety of those who wish to remember Margaret, there will be no service at this time. Private entombment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Foundation, 4100 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN or to Mount Olivet Careview Home, 5517 Lyndale Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN
