Obituary for Livia Eemine Yang

Livia Eemine Yang, aged 12 weeks, died peacefully in her parents’ arms at Children’s Minnesota Hospital, Minneapolis, MN, on September 1, 2023. Livia had Noonan Syndrome with Multiple Lentigines (NSML) due to a genetic mutation and struggled with a severe and inoperable congenital heart defect, she passed gently into the arms of Jesus.

Livia is the daughter of Levee Yang and MaiKong Chang and the younger sister of Leveena Yang of Columbia Heights, MN. She is the greatest gift God has given them, and they waited for her birth with joyful and hopeful expectations. After birth, she was hospitalized for 36 days and was able to go home for 44 days before having to be hospitalized again for 7 days before her passing. During her brief visit here on earth, she enjoyed taking naps with her older sister, found comfort in the warm embraces of her parents, and loved watching the mobile spin and being gently bounced on the exercise ball. She was loved and adored by all those who met her and will be greatly missed.

Livia is survived by Levee Yang, MaiKong Chang, and Leveena Yang of Columbia Heights, MN.
