Age 104, passed away Sunday May 24, 2020 in Minneapolis. Kathryn was born Feb 8, 1916 in Derryane Twp., Le Suer Co. MN to Andrew and Mary (Ginter) Pianko. She worked for Honeywell, retiring after many years of service. Kathryn was an excellent seamstress, cook, gardener and helper to all in need. Being a happy person was how she wanted to be remembered. Her pleasant and friendly manner was a hallmark of Kathryn’s personality. Commenting on her idea on what she would say to God it was “you gave me a good long life.”

The family would like to thank the staff at River Village East for their care and concern for Kathryn for the past 15 years. Also to Our Lady of Peace hospice for their care and dedication to Kathryn.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John, Joseph and Anthony Pianko; sisters Anna Schoenecker, Frances Hayden, Mary Labin, Agnes Pianko, Rosemary Mosiniak, Amie Fogarty, Dorothy Brown and Theresa Pianko. Survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends especially Dolores Bertram.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday May 28th 10 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church, 3204 E. 43rd St, Minneapolis. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass beginning at 9 am. Interment St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Minneapolis.
