Obituary for John Julius Hardt

John Julius Hardt
Hardt, John Julius Born November 5th 1920 in Aberdeen SD. He entered to Eternity to his Father in Heaven April 26th 2020. John would often share his testimony through a song called The Beggar, always looking forward to that day he too would meet his King. We are blessed knowing he is with his King. Greeted with a big kiss from his wife Joyce, embraced by his parents Melba and Julius Hardt, knowing forgiveness by his first wife Dorothy and is able to pull his sister in the wagon again. Plus many more family and friends who knew his kindness are with him. Those who survived John were so Precious to him. He had a unique way of making people smile, sometimes just laughing because he was so happy to see you. The joy of the Lord was his strength. Serving our country first in the National Guard Dec.1941 then when Pearl Harbor occurred he joined the Army, was sent to Africa where he was wounded by a bomb. The scar was a reminder that he was meant to live because during his recovery in Italy his whole platoon died in a attack. As a 2 time Purple Heart Wounded Warrior his story can not be forgotten. Thank you to Friendship Manor in Shakopee MN their care is Loving, respectful and safe. The sweet and patient care they provide is what makes it home. Private Interment at Fort Snelling on May 5th. Someday soon when we can all gather safely we will celebrate Johns life.
