Joan Beverly Carlson; age 86 of Crystal, MN. Born August 20, 1937 in Minneapolis to Russell and Agnes (Lovdahl) Balmes; passed away August 30, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, Andrew Christian Sr.; son, Andrew Jr.; sister, Gloria; brother, Robert. Survived by sons, Kevin (Kay) and Jeffery; grandchildren, Jessica (Paul), Amanda (Clay), Jacob (Erica) and Cameron (Eric); great-grandchildren, Lily, Riley, Kaylee, Ellie, Molly, Cody, and Kennedy; sisters, Barbara Baker, Shirley (Jerome) Norman, and Bonnie Smith; family and friends. Joan was passionate about her lawn and enjoyed gardening and reading. Funeral service 11:00 am, Friday, September 8th at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 7300 42nd Ave. N., New Hope with visitation at 10:00. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Tuesday, September 12th at 10:45 am, Assembly Lane #4.
