James E Hoppenyan Jr. age 61 of Crystal. Jim was a 1977 graduate of Morgan Park High School in Duluth where he participated in several sports and was a talented choir performer. He established life-long relationships before relocating to Minneapolis to pursue his passion for the beauty industry. He was the founder and owner of Salon Intrigue in Minneapolis that grew to become a staple in his community. He expressed his love for life through laughter, gardening, cooking, fishing and finding light on the darkest days. Preceded in death by father, James E. Sr. Survived by the love of his life, Ray Green; mother, Shirley; brother, Tom (Donika); his sisters, Lori (Mike) Kaess), Mary Ann (Stewart) Koepke, and Kathryn (Steven) Goldschmidt; Jim is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many dear and special friends who shared his life.
