79 of Minneapolis, passed away on December 19, 2019. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alison Gratz, parents & siblings. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Tom (Terri) Gratz, Dawn (Bob) Thompson, Joe (Renee) Gratz, Ann (John) Schreiber; grandchildren, Emily, Faith, Skyler, Hunter, Meghan, Rebecca, Mandi, Kris (Brent) & Andrew; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Caiden, Eric & Patrick. Jim was the 25th person to receive a heart transplant at Abbott Northwestern in 1987. Memorial Service will be Friday December 27th 11 AM at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 7300 42nd Ave N, New Hope, MN. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
