Malone, Gerald C, age 66 of Minneapolis, passed away on March 5, 2020. Preceded in death by parents, Betty Jo and Robert Malone, brothers, Michael and Daniel Malone, and daughter, Molly Malone Chottepanda. Survived by fiancé, Chantel DeBlois and her daughters Chelsea, Carlie, and Celeste; son, Rob (Audrey); granddaughter Mara; son-in-law, Kushal Chottepanda; brothers, Patrick (Cathy), Stephen (Stephanie), and Tom (Leslie); sisters-in-law, Patricia, Lisa, and Debbie; former wife, Nancy; and 8 nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 17, 2020 at 11AM at Church of the Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street, Minneapolis. Visitation one-hour prior at the church.
Jerry was born December 18, 1953, in Minneapolis, where he spent the remainder of his life. He attended Nazareth Hall Preparatory Seminary, graduated from Benilde High School in 1972, and earned a degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas. As a CPA, Jerry had his own business and loved numbers and his clients. He was also passionate about his Irish roots and traveled to Ireland many times. He loved his family, animals, and sports, having played a mean softball game and coached basketball. He was a funny, boisterous, lovable, larger than life kind of man with a thundering bass voice, which he loved to share with his parish family. God speed, Jerry! May your Irish eyes always be smiling.
