Obituary for Elba Bettaglio

Bettaglio, Elba Age 93 of Mpls., formerly of El Salvador, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on November 12, 2019. Preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Josefina Rivas, husband and love of her life, Emilio Sr., and sister Angela. Elba was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend; she was a prolific artist, whose work included oil painting and various forms of textile art; she was an avid reader of Spanish classical literature and an expert in Spanish Flamenco music. Elba had a close circle of friends and family with whom she loved socializing and did so frequently. Babies and children brought Elba much joy and she loved nothing more than spending time with the little ones in her life, some of whom have now grown up and have brought her great-grandchildren to enjoy. Survived by sons Emilio (Lois), Mauricio; daughter Rossana (Steve) grandchildren Savita, Neela (Tal), Elia, Leela, Gabriel, Stefania; great-grandchildren Makai, Niko and Avi; Sister Alicia Rivera and many other relatives and friends. The family is eternally grateful for the loving care she received at Abiitan Mill City during the final stage of her life. They did so with dignity and skill. We are also grateful for the hospice team from Allina which was always present, helpful informative and kind to Elba and her family. A private family service will be held Wednesday November 20th at 10:30 AM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55419.
