Age 99 of So. Mpls formerly of Prior Lake. Born in Credit River, Mn and died peacefully on October 16, 2020. Ed served in WWII in the United States Navy Aircorps as a transport pilot for 4 years. Ed began his teaching career at a one room schoolhouse. He married Bernadine Ries in 1947 in New Market. They had 6 children. In 1954 he taught in Prior Lake. He helped establish St. Michael’s Catholic School. He ended his career as a principal in the Bloomington School District. Ed was an active member of the People of Praise Community and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survived by children, Diana (Phillip AuClaire) Boegemann, Nancy (Todd) Linahan, Patty (Brad) Bye, Gary Boegemann, Linda (Mike) Schmitt and Kathleen Boegemann; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and sister, Elaine Kerber. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. Oct., 20th at the Church of Our Lady of Peace, 5426 12th Ave S, Mpls, MN 55417. Visitation 1 1/2 hours prior to Mass at church. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Thur., October 22nd at 9:00 a.m.
