Davante Lavar-King Reid died unexpectantly February 15, 2023 in Minneapolis, MN. Davante was born July 12, 1993 in St. Paul, MN.
Davante attended Minneapolis Public School and Wayzata Public School graduating with his diploma. Davante, worked in various construction roles and most recently as a union painter. Davante shined as a father and loved his family above all. Davante enjoyed cooking, being a dad and helping others.
Davante was currently in a relationship with Gabrielle Solberg as they shared a home with their daughter.
Davante is survived by, girlfriend, Gabrielle Solberg ; daughter, Elliana Reid (Gabrielle); son, Zayne Kai Davis (Angelica Davis); mother, Marlene King (Liz Tyson); father, Joe Reid (Angel Reid); father, Lee Waage (Sam Owens); brother, Demario Reid; sister, Justice Osharia King; brother, Cardia Reid ; sister, Aaliyah King-Tyson; and many extended relatives grandparents and friends.
Thank you for your attendance and celebrating Davante with us. We hope that guests and family have opportunity to meet and share Davante’s memories together. Davante’s family will have roses so that we can honor them.

We will invite folks to stay as long as you can or are able. We will have 3 designated times to come to the podium and share: 11:30, 12:30 and 1:30.
