Obituary for Daniel Arthur Johnson
Daniel Arthur Johnson age 65 of Bloomington passed away unexpectedly Sept. 23, 2020.
Preceded in death by parents, Donald & Joyce (Lemieux) Johnson and sister, Joy Starr.
Dan is survived by his brothers, Donald "Mike" of Minneapolis, David of Dumaguete City, Philippines, Jeffrey (Sandy) of Canton, TX, sister Susan (Albert) Detore of Grand Saline, TX, his daughters, Regina Johnson of Rochester, MN and Tonya (Matt) McKinney of Devonport, New Zealand; grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylana, Tristan, Ethan, Alyssa, Garrett, Adriana, Kehlani and Liana, with another due to be born in December, great grandson Kaynon and by long time companion, Lisa McDonald.
Dan was a unique individual with a charming smile and infectious laugh. He enjoyed gambling, treasure hunting at his favorite thrift stores, telling stories about his adventures with cousin Ricky, concerts, fixing things, fireworks, musicals, the outdoors, time with family and friends, giving hugs, tickles and piggyback rides to children, and getting his monies worth at buffets. Most of all he loved to be loved.
Dan was a US Air Force veteran, a former Teamster, a maintenance mechanic and a graduate of West High School class of 1972.
Mass of Christian Burial Thursday October 22, 2020 12:30 p.m.at St. Richard's Catholic Church 7540 Penn Avenue South Richfield and interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
