Obituary for Christopher Michael "Chris" Bronstad

Christopher Michael Bronstad was born in Minneapolis on January 22, 1972. Chris passed away surrounded by many loving family members, on April 18, 2023, at the age of 51, after a 9-month battle with Cancer.

Chris and his loving wife Katie made their residence in Eagan MN. Chris was a longtime employee of Avtec Finishing, where he took great pride in his work and had many close friends from work. Chris also served in the National Guard and was very proud to have served his country.

Chris had many passions. He loved to fish, play darts, and was in a bowling league for many years with Katie. He loved kids and enjoyed all his nieces and nephews, they always brought a smile to his face, and he was the favorite uncle! Chris also loves his country music, and dancing. Chris could fix or build anything. Many people came to Chris for help with whatever project they were working on. He always made time for everyone. Chris was the kindest man you ever knew. He would give you the shirt off his back.

He had some impressive accomplishments during his time working with his twin brother Mark at the racetrack. Chris was awarded Mechanic of the year at Raceway Park and was a National Runner-up Mechanic of the year for NACAR.

The biggest love of Chris’s life was his beautiful wife, Katie. Preceded in death by parents, William Bronstad and Bonnie (Bjornton) Bronstad. Survived by wife, Katie Everson; children, Gavyn Bronstad, Lindsay Bronstad, and Samantha Williams; siblings Andrea (Mike) Richard and Mark (Alexandra) Bronstad. And many other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

Funeral Service Thursday April 27, 2023, 2:30 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity of Mary, 9900 Lyndale Ave. So. Bloomington. Visitation 1 hour prior to Mass. Interment Bloomington Cemetery. A celebration of life (party, in Chris’s words) will follow at the Tavern 13 from 3:30 – 6:00pm – 2510 Horizon Rd, Burnsville.
