Obituary for Catherine Alice Sailer (Case)
Catherine Alice Sailer, née Case, age 94, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020. She was a lifelong resident of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her brothers Conrad Case and Thomas Case.
She is survived by her sister Virginia Kopischke of Waukesha, WI and children, Jim Sailer (Ellie) of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, Nancy Niedermaier (David) of Pinehurst, NC, Diane Proulx (Michael) of Apple Valley, MN and Cynthia Watts (Lin) of Middleburg, VA. Beloved grandmother to Ana, Lindsay, Andy, Teddy, Hunter, Alec, Alyssa, Grant, Katie, Harry and Marc. Great grandmother to Marie, Van, Josie, Margaret, Konrad, Catherine, Natalie and Arthur. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who were all very special to her.
Catherine was a lifelong learner, avid reader and loved to travel, especially to visit her family. An intensely devoted grandparent, she delighted in keeping up with all of her many grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church of Deephaven, 18325 Minnetonka Blvd., on Thursday, November 5th at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior to mass. Interment ~ Lakewood Cemetery. If so desired memorials may be directed to Second Harvest Heartland ~ 7101 Winnetka Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55428
