After helping to put Les through medical school, she retired from nursing to raise her family. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Cathy always had coffee at the ready and a smile on her face. She kept the family home and finances under control while tending to her many breath-taking flower beds and pots she nurtured. She especially enjoyed flying with Les in their own aircraft (having obtained her ground school license) and extensive traveling with her husband Les and their children. Cathy gave her time generously to many volunteer activities. She was active in Mount Olivet Homes Auxiliary , Dorcas Society, Hennepin County Medical Society Auxiliary, and Fairview Hospitals Auxiliary. The family would like to thank the many aids, nurses, physicians, and hospice staff involved in her care. (Especially those at The Waters of Eden Prairie). They were all an endless source of support and wisdom. Memorials preferred to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church and Alzheimer’s Association.

Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
