Obituary for Cameron Robert Johnson
Cameron Robert Johnson, age 27, passed away on May 18, 2023 at his home in Bloomington, MN.
Cameron is survived by his loving parents Brenda Hamilton and Timothy Johnson, his sister Cassandra Johnson and his brother Alexander Johnson. Cam is also survived by his beloved rabbit and best friend, Finley the Fierce. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Bud Hamilton, and paternal grandfather, Willard Johnson.
Cameron was a life-long lover of animals, especially dogs, ducks, moose, and hedgehogs. His dream of owning an animal shelter was a step closer to realization when he graduated with a degree and marketing certificate from Hennepin Technical College in 2022. He hoped to travel to Australia and Studio Ghibli in Tokyo before settling down to run his shelter. He spent each birthday at the Minnesota Zoo and enjoyed The American Bear Center, Minnesota State Fair, and the Animal Humane Society’s annual Walk For Animals. Cam was a budding photographer and took beautiful pictures of flowers and animals. He loved fishing, campfires, reading, and fireworks. We will miss his dear heart and cherish his memory forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington 55420 on Thursday, June 1st. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM in the chapel with a service at 5:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Animal Humane Society at www.animalhumanesociety.org.
