Obituary for Annie Naomi Jackson (Jones)

Born May 12, 1932 in Marion, Alabama to Curtis and Zola Jones; departed this life on April 27, 2020. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Curtis and George Preston Jones; and sisters, Mable Perry, Marie Cobb, and Bessie Moore. Graduate of Lincoln High School in Marion, AL and Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University. After graduation, she began her teaching career at Russell County High School in Hurtsboro, AL where she met and married William Jackson. Annie helped establish the Grady-Madison AME Church in Madison Alabama and was an active member of St. Peter's AME Church in Minneapolis. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren, a wonderful sister and friend. She was always available to those who needed help. She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband of 58 years, Reverend William Jackson; Sons, Keith Jackson (Heidi) and Randall Jackson (Michael); Daughter, Ninetta McAlpine; Brother, Lirse Jones; Sister, Zola Jones; Four grandchildren: Elizabeth & Eleanor Jackson, Candice and Christopher McAlpine; Brother-in-law, Irkcous Jackson; Sisters-in-law, Barbara Yancy and Alvestia McAlpine and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
