Steven Elliot Besse, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather,  age 64 of Pequot Lakes died suddenly on September 7, 2011.   Steven was a decorated war veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corp during Vietnam. Preceded in death by father, Harold and infant brother, Harold, Jr.  Survived by mother, Jennie Besse; wife, Pam Besse; children, Scott (Valerie), Stefany and Daniel (Debra Krug) Besse; grandchildren, Meghan, Alexander, Claire and Cody; brother, Michael (Aletta); sister, Deborah (Kevin) Boyce; nieces and nephews, Michael and Jennifer Besse, Jeffrey Boyce, Ryan Schoen and Julie Aaker and his dog, Slinky.  Funeral Service 5PM,  Tuesday, September 13th at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S. with visitation one hour prior to service only.   If so desired memorials may be directed to the family.

Thanks for the memories

Steven will be sorely missed.  Even though quite some time has passed, It seems like only yesterday going out on multiple fishing trips with him and his son.  He was the most caring guy that would help anybody.  Now that I look back on it, Some of the best fishing trips were spent with him.  I especially remember him taking me to Mille Lacs lake my first time.  He will be in heaven searching for the next "honeyhole".  My sincerest condolences to the Besse family.
