Paul Egan Flesher
Age 87, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 8, 2012. Paul's health had been failing for the past few years. He had been residing with his wife Marjorie (Eve) at the Jones Harrison.
Residence in Minneapolis when he passed away. Paul was born on June 4, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the first son of Benjamin and Laura Flesher. He attended Southwest High School. At the age of seventeen he enlisted in the United State Coast Guard to serve his country during World War II. He was a crew member of a landing craft that was destroyed during a landing attempt at Leyte Island. He survived a day in the water and continued his service to his country honorably until the end of the
conflict.
Paul and Eve were married on May 1, 1947. Paul graduated from St. Thomas College and went on to take over his uncle's accounting business Hyre, Flesher & Co. Paul and Eve had 6 children.
Preceded in death by daughter, Jeanne Marie Tierney; brother-in-laws, Bill, Lloyd, Lawrence; sister-in-law, Elaine.
Paul is survived by wife, Marjorie; children, Ralph (Mary), Kevin, Paul B. (Cynthia), Anne (Richard) Nelson, Patrick J. (Jean); 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Leonard, 3949 Clinton Avenue, Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
