Nancy J. age 76 of Golden Valley passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2011.  Survived by loving husband of 56 years, Donald; proud mother of Brian (Beth), Debbie (Steve Koss) Smith and Dana (Gary) Elfring; doting grandmother of Nick Elfring, Amanda Elfring, Stacy (Jeremy) Hassler, Katie Forseth, Thomas Forseth, Dlyon Smith, Dakota Smith, Mickaila Smith and Derek Smith; siblings, Elaine, Carol, Mary Lou, Jack, Jim and Judy.  Nancy was a graduate of the St. Cloud School of Nursing and received a Masters Degree from St. Mary’s University.  Jean practiced in the nursing field until retiring at the age of 71 so she could pursue her true passion of quilting and BINGO! Mass of Christian Burial Friday 11 AM at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Road.  Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel, 7300 42nd Ave North and Friday 1 hour prior to mass at church.  Memorials preferred to Donor’s choice.
