John Marvin Formo, 10/23/1945 – 2/20/2012, John died unexpectedly and peacefully following a short illness.  He graduated from Edina High School, Yale University and the University of Minnesota School of Law.  John was a kind and gentle man who saw the best in others and life.  He enjoyed gardening, skiing, hiking, nature, books and learning.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Florence Formo and brother-in-law, James Kittelson.  He will be dearly missed by sisters, Margaret Kittelson and Kristin Jospeh; brother-in-law, John Joseph; nieces and nephew, Elizabeth Kittelson (Steve VanVoorhis), Mike Joseph (Tina), Amy Kittelstrom (David), Molly Joseph (Andrew Olson); grand nieces and nephews and friends.  Memorial Service 4PM, Saturday, February 25th at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 5801 Lyndale Ave. S. with visitation beginning at 3PM.  Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Minneapolis.  Memorials preferred to Camp Menogyn.
