Janet Mary Althoff

 Janet M.  Altoff (nee Voss), Age 81 of Bloomington, died peacefully on August 16, 2012 following a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.  Preceded in death by parents, Mary K. Voss and Alfred C. Voss; brother, Darold Voss and his wife, Lois.  Survived by daughters, JoAnne (Dean) Cody, Jeniece Wolter; grandsons, Joshua (Amy) and Jacob Wolter and Michael Cody; brother Earl (Myrnice) Voss and many nieces and nephews.  Janet was born in Spencer, Iowa, was raised in Brainerd, MN and lived in Bloomington for 54 years. “Jan” worked in sales for 20 years at Daytons – Southdale and was active in her church.  With determination, she received her degree from the U of MN at age 69.  Janet’s strong faith in the Lord was her guiding force in life.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22nd at The Church of St. Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Avenue South, Bloomington, 55437 (952-835-7101) with visitation one hour prior to Mass only.  Interment St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Waverly, MN.  Memorials preferred for Parkinson’s Research.

I didn't know janet but knew

I didn't know janet but knew her dad al voss, he was in business with my dad ernie knapper,sorry for your loss. Al voss was in my life growing up, I even drove his big black catalac when i didn't even have my license yet
