Craig Allen Folz age 60 of Bloomington, MN on December 6, 2011.  Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.  Survived by three brothers, two sisters, four nephews and six nieces.  His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.  Visitation, Monday, Dec. 12th, 5-8PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Avenue South with memorial service at 7PM.  Complte notice later.

Donald T. Olson, age 86 of Bloomington, passed away December 6, 2011.  Preceded in death by first wife, Anna Mae Wald; parents, Arne & Gunda Olson; brother, Melvin Olson; sisters, Jenny Garay and Gladys Bergstrom; step-sons, Paul and Michael Bowen. Survived by Anne Bowen Olson, wife of 33 years; daughter, Cheri (Jeff) Brown; sons, Randy and Todd Olson; step-daughters, Barbara Bowen-Peraaho; Elizabeth (Erik) Grund; step-grandsons, Nathan and Andrew Grund; step-granddaughters, Sara (Jeff) Batchelor and children; sister-in-law, Elaine Olson; brother-in-law, John Garay; nieces and nephews. Proud of his military service, he entered the US Army after high school graduation and served as a combat medic with the 104th Infantry Regiment.  He authored a book, “One Lucky GI” about his experiences in Europe. Don was employed 35 years at Continental Machines, Inc., Savage, MN.  He was an enthusiastic volunteer.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an American Legion Member, a Born Again Jock, and an active member of Annunciation, where he was a greeter for 30 years and a member of the Twelve Apostles. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM, Tuesday, Dec. 13th at The Church of the Annunciation, 509 W. 54th St., Mpls with visitation beginning at 10AM.  Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Anthony Owens age 98, of Bloomington passed away on December 4, 2011. He was preceded in death by parents, John F. and Maud Lund Owens; brothers, James and Robert; wife of fifty-seven years, Bernice Field. He is survived by sons, Alan (Patricia), Bruce (Cheryl), and Dale (Rebecca); 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Tony was born October 16, 1913 in Minneapolis, graduated from South High School, attended the University of Minnesota and the Executive Program in Business Administration at Columbia University. He was employed in the Minneapolis Grain Exchange until May of 1942 when he enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard where he was assigned to recruiting for the U.S. Maritime Service and subsequently became an officer on a merchant ship in the Pacific until April of 1946. Returning to Minneapolis, he joined the Pillsbury Company where he became a Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Agri-Products Group.

He was a long-time member and Past President of the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. He was also a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Kansas City Board of Trade. He served as a Director of the Boys Clubs of Minneapolis. After retirement he was in charge of administration for the Clubs for several years.

Tony was a member of the Lafayette Club and the Rio Verde Country Club in Arizona where he enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. He was also a fishing enthusiast and often went fly-fishing in Colorado and with his family in Canada.

Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick, 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane, Edina, with visitation one hour prior to Mass only. Reception to follow. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.

Colton, Helen Rose

Age 97, of Mpls, MN, passed away December 2, 2011.  Preceded in death by husband, Julian.  Survived by children, Wynne (Michael) Malsbary, Bruce (Ragna) Colton and Jane Colton; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.  Helen was one of 13 children.  She loved her brothers and sisters.  She was a wonderful mother and an unfailingly honest, kind and loving person to everyone.  She shined in life and her light will twinkle in all who know her.  Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10:30 AM, Church of the Annunciation, 509 West 54th Street.  Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Anderson, Daniel Richard

Age 55, died on December 1st of natural causes at his home in Minneapolis. As a devoted companion and life-care advocate for his father and mother, Dan supported them to age gracefully and to provide love, empathy, and care for his sister during her lifetime with Down syndrome. He consistently provided loving assistance to many relatives and friends. Dan founded the annual "Wide Open" charity golf event that survives to this day in Ketchum, Idaho. He led a bright and engaged life on his own terms. Preceded into eternal adventures by his father and mother, Harold and Eleanor, and his sister, Margaret Ann. Survived by brother, Gary and sister-in-law Allison and their children, Danny and Kate of Lincoln, MA, and sister, Mary Lynn Anderson and brother-in-law Harold Kennedy of Rye, NH. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 2PM, Lakewood Cemetery Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave. So., Minneapolis, MN with interment following.

 Clarence William "Bill" Foster passed away peacefully on 11-29-11. Preceded in death by son, Stuart J. and brother, John W.  Survived by wife of 53 years Genice; daughters,  Julie McCarthy, Joy O'Reilly; four grandchildren, Amanda and Robert McCarthy, Sean and Kaitlyn O'Reilly; great-grandson, William McCarthy; niece, Lezlie Hagmann and nephew, John Foster; sister-in-law, Mary and many cousins and friends.  Born in Cooperstown, ND 8-27-1928.  Bill served in the Korean war as a Navy Pilot on the U.S.S. Mary D. Roberti, loving wife, devoted mother, kind and generous grandmother, passed away November 28, 2011 from complications due to a fall.  She was preceded in death by parents Dmytro and Anna Kost Drabik, sister Irene Lanzarotta, and brother Peter Drabik, nephews Phillip Lanzarotta and James Drabeck, and sister-in-law Millie Drabeck.  Survived by husband of fifty years, Robert Roberti, daughter Susan (John) Buckley, grandchildren Molly and Bobby Buckley; sister Mildred Greco, brother Michael Drabeck; dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Mary attended Ambridge High School and Mount Mercy College.  She had a productive career as an Accident and Sickness underwriter with the Hartford Insurance Group.  Mary was a talented musician who loved choral music.  She was a virtuoso alto, first singing with the Sodality at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ambridge, PA; she was the piano accompanist at Ambridge High School, and was a member of the Bach Choir in Pittsburgh, PA during the time that Leonard Bernstein was a guest-conductor.  Mary volunteered at the schools that Susan attended in Connecticut (Israel Putnam and Elizabeth Green), California (Queen of All Saints), Ohio (Guardian Angels), and at Our Lady of Grace Grade School and Regina High School, in the community, and especially at Our Lady of Grace Church, where she was a member of the Cecilians and the Schola Cantorum for many years.
