How to Plan a Funeral
Planning a funeral service doesn’t have to be something you stress over. Whether you are preplanning for yourself or a loved one who has just passed away, our caring staff will be by your side throughout the process.
Planning Ahead
Before you come to meet with us at the funeral home, it’s best to plan ahead and brainstorm with your loved ones. How do you want to be remember? What kind of service would you like? A great way to get started is to think about questions like this and talk them over with your family. After you know what type of service and interment you want, you can start to plan the actual service.
Establish A Budget
Before you make any purchases, it’s important to establish a budget. Once you know what you can afford to spend, you can look at the different service options that fit your budget.
Planning A Funeral Service
The third step in this process is when you get down to planning the details of your service. When you meet with the funeral director, we’ll provide you with a general price list that outlines each of our services. During your arrangement meeting, we’ll discuss the different service options available and help you plan a personalized service.
Financial Arrangements
Once your funeral arrangements have been completed, your funeral director will discuss payment options with you. There are several ways to pay for a service including a one-time payment, insurance assignment, or paying in installments. Talk to your funeral director about which option works best for you.
Leave A Paper Trail
Last but not least, make sure your family knows where to locate all of your important documents. Your estate’s executor should know where to find your funeral contract, will, and any other documents that are needed. This will be helpful later on to ensure your affairs are in order.
