Ed was raised on the original farm homesteaded by Frank and Anna Machacek. He and his wife, Bev, built a home in Richfield and lived there for more than 40 years. During that time, Ed was a proud Honeywell/Alliant Techsystems employee. He enjoyed his retirement, spending time in Minnesota and Las Vegas with Bev. He was a committed father and grandfather, attending numerous school concerts and watching hours of soccer, baseball, basketball and football games. He could fix or build anything and literally whistled while he worked. He always had a project going, making improvements in the yard or around the house, and was ready with a helping hand.
