Obituary for Beverly June Gladhill (Vansickle)

Beverly J. (Vansickle) Gladhill, age 86 of Bloomington passed away peacefully July 15, 2018 from Leukemia. Preceded in death by husband Vincent, parents Arthur and Della (Bernhardson). Survived by daughter, Marjorie Amato; son Theodore (Anne) Gladhill; grandchildren Anthony and Joseph Amato, Gage and Jaclyn Gladhill; brother Arthur Vansickle and sister Kathleen (Patrick) Carr; many nieces and nephews. Bev “I don’t want to be a burden” Gladhill was born and grew up in Warren, MN on the family farm, then moved to Minneapolis, where she enrolled in business school and soon met her husband of 55 years, Vince. After a brief US Army tour in Italy, they settled in Minneapolis to start a family. A few years later, they moved to Bloomington and Bev continued to live in the same home until her final days. Bev most enjoyed being a part of the many family gatherings each year and loved keeping up with the endless activities of her grandchildren. She had an amazing ability to connect on a personal level with everyone whose lives she touched. Her compassion, wit and comforting personality will be dearly missed by her family, friends, neighbors, coworkers and her church. Funeral Service 11AM Monday July 23rd at Atonement Lutheran Church, 601 E 98th St, Bloomington, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
